Citing possible public confusion, real estate advertising site isMLS.com became Listingism.com and has completed its search engine updating and website redesign.
North Port, FL. (PRWEB) December 21, 2012
Six months after launching the latest addition in the hot real estate advertising market, isMLS.com, concerned by possible confusion in the url, has changed their name to Listingism.com."It was something that needed to be done. When we created the website with letters synonymous with real estate, MLS," states Kent Wolfe, REALTOR? and manager, "we thought it would make it easy for consumers to know immediately what it?s about, but a few members have asked if we were a part of a Multiple Listing Service, which we're not."
In the fiercely competitive advertising market, their growth has been steady but not stellar. With just over two-hundred members in the six months following the launch, they struggle getting agents and brokers to join. ?Our e-mail campaign hasn?t resulted in as many new members as we would have liked,? adds Kent, ?We were hoping for two-percent but it?s been far lower and we?re trying other things as well. It may have been in part the name that made people leery.?
Generating operating revenue from business advertisers and sponsors, Listingism.com offers all services for free to licensed agents and brokers including virtual tour and video embed features. Kent explains, ?It seems everyone has their hands in an agent?s pocket; Listingism.com was created as a truly free service for all licensed members.?
Listingism.com isn?t flooded with advertising requests and as of yet hasn?t found a large sponsor to help foot the bill, most of the cost is paid out-of-pocket by Kent and his wife Beccy Wolfe, the general manager. ?It?s tough, but we aren?t giving up,? says Beccy. ?I firmly believe it?s a great product and those who have joined are helping us make the site better with suggestions and ideas, most of which are acted upon. Their input helped us with the name change as well?
Listingism.com has a simple platform; old-fashioned advertising combined with internet speed and is free of pop-up and display ads, but history has proven an upstart advertising business has the odds working against it. Still, there?s something to be said about simplicity.
