Q: Currently, I have a stacked washer/dryer unit in my guest bathroom. I would like to move it to a building that is not directly connected to the house but a few steps away via the back deck.
We are going to sell the house and I would like to know if moving the unit out of the house would be detrimental to the sale?
?Nina, Waveland, MS
A: That seems like a low priority item to worry about; focus on cleaning and decluttering your house wile fixing all of the issues that need dealt with before winter comes. If a buyer comes along who complains about where W/D is, offer to move hook-ups to put where they may desire. JC

Yes, I would suggest keeping the laundry set up where it is. If you find that there are complaints about its location in the guest bathroom, you can reconsider, but I think you will find that most homeowners prefer not to leave the residence to do laundry.
